Well, this has been one of the most hyped pens I have ever read about. So naturally the question is; can it live up to the hype? Well, lets start with the design. The Pentel SES15C exactly like the regular Pentel Sign Pen from the exterior. The only difference that I can find is that... Continue Reading →
Pilot V Sign Pen – Is It Any Good?
Boy, was I excited when I spotted this today. A felt tip Sign pen in a local shop for less than 3€. No shipping, no waiting. So first impression is that the plastic feels a little cheap. Like one step above a cheap kids marker. Take the cap off and it feels short and stubby.... Continue Reading →
Staedtler Lumocolor Pens and Marker Set a Brief Review
Ok, I found a nice kit today. Staedtler Lumocolor pens and markers are some of my favorites. This set has sizes from S = Small, F = Fine, M = Medium and ending with the large Chisel. There is one interesting feature that made me buy this set. That is the Medium sized marker is... Continue Reading →
-Pentel Pocket Brush Pen GFKP – retrospective
I'm sure a lot of people have reviewed this pen, and in some ways I will. However I hope to take a different path of exploration. First let's state the obvious. It's a synthetic brush pen, that uses disposable ink cartridges. So, why is that special? In contrast to other synthetic brushes, this one is... Continue Reading →
Airbrush and Maker Skull
So I kinda goofed on this one. Poor planning and it didn't turn out quite how I wanted it too. I used EFBE Airbrushes and Copic Markers. Got frustrated and just finished it to be done. It's a good lesson in technique but maybe not a great example of a final product per se.
Drawing a Zombie with Markers
I did this video primarily to showcase the Copic Ciao markers, and I think it unfortunately shows that relying on these markers isn't the best choice. They seem to dry out faster than any other marker I have used, and they did on this drawing. I hope you enjoy the video, it was fun to... Continue Reading →
Sprayza Blow Marker, Rose Project
I found a set of the RenArt Sprayza Blow Markers on clearance locally for around 12€. I couldn't resist, the ghetto kids airbrush. Yes it was in the children's section of the local Müller. Which for my fello Americans would be like the fanciest Walgreens you could ever imagine had a three way love child... Continue Reading →
My Process for Drawing a Skull With Pens and Markers Start to Finish.
So I drew this skull, first I started sketching with an erasable pencil. Well a Col-Erase Carmine Red pencil to be exact. This is my favorite pencil, it is a good dark shade of read, works smoothly and layers nicely. I could talk all day about this Pencil. After that I started inking it in.... Continue Reading →
A quick review of the Callstel Active Stylus from pearl.de
So, in the days before I finally bought an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil I tried almost every stylus possible with my iPad Air 2 and my iPhone 6 plus. After a lot of misses and I do mean a lot, I stumbled upon a mention of the Callstel Aktiver Touchscreen-Eingabestift für iPad, iPhone... Continue Reading →
